Description

This training course meets the requirements by TCEQ.   Electrical safety in the work place is of great concern.  Accidents and injuries directly related to electrical accidents can have horrific results, resulting in hundreds of dollars in medical bills and can lead to death.  Many electrical accidents can be avoided with a proper understanding of electricity and how to prevent being exposed to the hazards.  This course is an overview of where electricity comes from, how it flows and looks at many common mistakes. This course provides employers and employees the following information: 

• Basic electrical safety

• Avoiding electrical shock

• The effects of electricity on the body

• Lock-out/Tag-out "the control of hazardous energy"

• Arc flash awareness

• The dos and don'ts on how to avoid an arc flash
